Musical Minds brings you a fun and interactive music education program for young children and
their parents/carers. You will sing songs (not just nursery rhymes), play a huge range of musical
instruments, move to music using a variety of dancing materials and learn how actions and
Auslan can help in song memory retention and learning.
Blue Skies – Moonee Valley Brass

Moonee Valley Brass is excited to present Blue Skies – an afternoon of music that brings joy – featuring favourite songs as nominated by members of the band. From TV theme songs to classic marches and more, there’s sure to be something for everyone! This concert will see the world premiere of the work “Blue Skies” by local composer Christopher Healey. The work was commissioned by the band through a grant for the Moonee Valley City Council. We’re also joined by our friends from the Moonee Valley Community Choir singing some of their favourite songs.

Blue is the Colour of Love will dive into the sea of Blues/Jazz love songs, wringing out the lows and rejoicing in the highs of this evocative music.

The quintet will explore and interpret a beloved selection of chansons françaises and jazz standards on this Autumn moody-after dark music session from Serge Gainsbourg’s La Javanaise to Paul Misraki’s L’étang to You Go to My Head by J. Fred Coots.
