ABOUT THE SHOW

Step into the drama, beauty, and courage of Mary Stuart: The Escape from Loch Leven, a breathtaking original youth ballet inspired by one of history’s most captivating queens.

Set in 1568 Scotland, the ballet tells the story of Mary, Queen of Scots — imprisoned in the cold stone walls of Loch Leven Castle and dreaming of freedom. Through expressive choreography, stirring music, and stunning stage imagery, this production follows Mary’s journey from despair to daring escape, as loyalty, love, and betrayal intertwine in a powerful dance narrative.

Performed by the talented young dancers of The Western Ballet Project's Youth Company, Mary Stuart: The Escape from Loch Leven is a celebration of artistry, storytelling, and the indomitable spirit of youth.

Join us for an evening of elegance and emotion — where history comes to life through movement, and every step tells a story.
