Join us for our 15th Annual Mayoral Breakfast as we celebrate International Women’s Day.

International Women’s Day is a global occasion that recognises the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, while also calling for continued action to achieve intersectional gender equity.

Our annual International Women’s Day Breakfast will be held at the Clocktower Centre on Friday, 6 March. Enjoy a delicious breakfast, take part in a silent fundraising auction, and hear from a panel of inspiring local leaders who are making a difference in the Moonee Valley community.

This year’s event supports the 2026 campaign, Balance the Scales, highlighting the urgent need for fair, inclusive, and accessible justice for all.

The panellists are:

• Kelly Faldon (she/her), a Taungurung woman who lives and works on Wurrundjeri land. Her links with Aboriginal communities around Victoria are strong, her knowledge of community is comprehensive, and she is a respected member of her community. Kelly has been an active member of many Aboriginal organisation boards over her working life, including Djirra, the Aborigines Advancement League, Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service, South-eastern Indigenous Media Association and Songlines Aboriginal Music Corporation. Her strategic role as Community Engagement Cultural Lead at Djirra is responsible for Aboriginal community-facing projects, workshops and activities within the family violence early intervention and prevention space. 

• Fiona Rothville (she/her) is a Board Member of Moonee Valley Legal Service, where she supports access to justice and advocacy for disadvantaged and vulnerable communities. She is also Director of Workplace Integrity at Deloitte Australia, advising organisations on building ethical, compliant and inclusive workplace cultures. She is a passionate advocate for gender equity and inclusive leadership, and an active contributor to conversations on the future of work and cultural change. 

• delsi Moleta (they/them) is a proud queer advocate, producer, qualified secondary and adult education teacher and TedX speaker with nearly 15 years of experience in the LGBTQIA+ sector. They are the founder of Unicorns, a grassroots LGBTQIA+ organisation they launched 12 years ago to address the need for safe, inclusive spaces that bring the entire LGBTQIA+ community together. In 2019, delsi made history as the first Australian LGBTI person to successfully take legal action against online anti-queer defamation, becoming a powerful voice against harassment and hate.
