We are thrilled to welcome back one of our most popular and inspiring artists to the Clocktower – Jonathon Welch AM!
Best known as the creator of the multi award-winning ABC TV smash hit series, Choir of Hard Knocks, Jonathon threads the amazing story of his life with beautiful music and stories.
From his early years being told he would never have an operatic singing career, to becoming one of Australia's finest tenors and being awarded Australian of the Year Local Hero 2008 and an Order of Australia for his passionate work and advocacy of the homeless and disadvantaged, Jonathon's voice and unique story is thrilling, deeply moving and inspiring.
Join Jonathon as he sings a selection of great classic songs and ballads, including his own original music, that have shaped his musical career. Hear classics from some of the great tenors, such as Mario Lanza, Harry Secombe, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban and John Denver, as well as Leonard Cohen's hauntingly beautiful Hallelujah.
Jonathon will also be joined by special guests, our own community choir Voices of Moonee Valley for this performance. So, there's sure to be a singalong as well!
