42nd Street is the story of a young woman who chases the bright lights of Broadway, an ageing star who questions the restrictions placed upon her by an industry that worships youth and beauty, and a theatre director who remembers why it is he works in this ridiculously unpredictable profession.
The show is a toe-tapping salute to showbiz: the costumes, the dance shoes, the sweat and the pressure to deliver a musical in the midst of The Great Depression.
With its gorgeous choreography and fabulous music, 42nd Street will appeal to audiences young and old. A testament to the power of live theatre. 42nd Street is a Lowther Hall musical not to be missed!
