About the show

Walking on stone and cement, it can be hard to remember what it feels like to have earth beneath our feet. What does it mean to be where we are? What do we, as modern Australians, think it means to be “on Country”?

Of The Land On Which We Meet follows the journey of three contemporary circus artists with distinct relationships to Country: an Indigenous Australian, a descendant of migrants, and a descendant of colonial settlers.

Through Na Djinang Circus’ signature physicality and style, Of The Land on Which We Meet rekindles the deep connections that tie us to place and one another.

“You cannot help but feel the joy of circus prowess watching them.”– Fringe Review 2024
