Tap into your inner creative and apply for a space in The Writing Room

Expressions of Interest now open for the Writing Room at the Clocktower Centre.

Moonee Valley Libraries is calling for expressions of interest from budding and established writers to apply for a free studio space in The Writing Room at the Clocktower Centre.

The Writing Room is open to all writers, emerging or established, and for all forms, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, stage, digital, film and television, as well as for educational and academic writing.

The space is located in the historic Clocktower Centre in Moonee Ponds and is available 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. It includes access to lockers, free wifi and a small kitchen with tea and coffee facilities.

Writers will be offered one of four desks at no cost in this shared workspace for a period of 1-3 months. It is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside like-minded creatives.

Any work produced during this period, and subsequently published (including self-published) will be considered for purchase by the library and, subject to availability, a library space will be made available for a launch.

The Writing Room is part of the Community Lounge initiative, where Moonee Valley Libraries offer opportunities for both independent and supported learning.

The expression of interest for the Writing Room at the Clocktower Centre closes Sunday, 18 July 2021.
