Cali Dreaming 3 2

About the show

In the kaleidoscopic swirl of the 1960s, Flower Power bloomed, and Peace and Love became the heartbeat of a generation. Just beyond the shimmering lights of Hollywood Boulevard and the gritty pulse of the Sunset Strip, Laurel Canyon stood as a sanctuary for the dreamers, the rebels, and the artists. It was a magnet for hippies and visionaries from all corners of the world. By the time the 1970s rolled in, the Canyon had become a musical Eden, where creativity thrived, harmonies flourished and young people followed their dreams of music stardom.

The air was alive with the iconic sounds of Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, Carole King, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, America, The Byrds and The Doors —all of whom made this magical enclave their home.

California Dreamin’ features The Beggars fabulous vocal harmonies. They have recorded 7 albums, made multiple tours of Europe and are a regular feature on the Australian touring circuit. The Beggars are joined by vocalist Catlouise Johns and Steve Todd on drums and percussion.
