Club Clocktower: Clare Ellen O’Connor

Club Clocktower: Clare Ellen O’Connor

Friday, 26 August 2022 at 8pm (bar open from 7pm)

Welcome back to our new series of jazz and cabaret performances at your local theatre.

Club Clocktower is inspired by the Clocktower’s newly restored 1898 Bechstein grand piano and will take place one Friday evening per month.

Award-winning cabaret artist and renowned jazz singer, Clare Ellen O’Connor is coming to Melbourne and making her Club Clocktower debut this August.

Clare, originally from Ballarat, has worked as a professional singer since the age of 16 and tread the boards with Australia’s top artists. Inspired by her Pop, who was a jazz musician, Clare grew up listening to the greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, however she has also been hugely influenced by singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Carole King and, more recently, Brandi Carlile.

As a cabaret artist, Clare is known for her quick wit, down-to-earth charm and honest storytelling.

In this intimate performance, Clare will be performing a mixture of jazz standards and crowd favourites, which she has curated to work perfectly with the mood lighting, cheese boards and wine on offer at Melbourne’s newest cabaret venue, Club Clocktower.

Bring your friends, a date, or come for a solo night out.
