Music in May – Grace Notes Unlocked

Music in May – Grace Notes Unlocked

Sunday, 16 May at 3pm

Grace Notes Singers, a women’s choir located in Moonee Valley, are back to entertain you with a joyful and uplifting performance celebrating the strength we brought each other, and found in one another, during 2020. Now that we have made it through the lockdowns, uncertainty and isolation of last year, come along to hear a tribute to the power of music and the joy of communal song.

Formed in 2013, the Grace Notes Singers perform modern ballads, folksong arrangements, spirituals, classical compositions and songs in other languages. They especially like to promote the music of female composers. The choir has been very successful in competitive events and loves participating in choral festivals such as Choral@Montsalvat and the Festival of Voices in Hobart. Throughout the long hiatus in 2020, the ensemble continued its practices on Zoom and made beautiful YouTube virtual choir recordings, which can be viewed online. The Grace Note Singers rehearse in Aberfeldie on Wednesday evenings and are currently on a membership drive for new members in all voice parts. GNS is under the direction of Conductor, Jan Goodall and Accompanist, Ed Chan.

Free to attend, bookings required.
