Reopening Celebration!

After a hiatus of 3 months, the Clocktower Centre is finally reopening its doors to the public. We have missed being able to bring you live performances, music and events, and so in celebration of our reopening, we are offering a day of free performances to the local community! Featuring a bunch of fantastic local artists across three exciting shows, there is bound to be something for everyone.

Local pianist Mitchell Geddes presents “Into the Mandala” in the Clocktower Café. “Into The Mandala” reflects a notion from the Buddhist tradition which speaks to living within the tension of opposites and allowing all to co-exist peacefully, which is what Mitchell aims to do with his music.

Mitchell is a classically trained pianist who aims to shift the common expectations placed upon both pianists and all classical musicians. While Mitchell will present a program including composers of the standard repertory, including works from Bach, Debussy and Scriabin, he will intertwine these with works from Chick Corea, and his own improvisations, which draw from his passion for jazz and new music.

Grab a seat in the Clocktower Café, no bookings required.

This performance takes place immediately prior to Sounds of Silent in the main theatre. Tickets for Sounds of Silent can be booked here.

Duration: Approximately 45 minutes

Location: The Clocktower Centre Cafe
