ABOUT THE SHOW
Internationally renowned for his inimitable style, comedian Joe Avati, who is Australian born with an Italian heritage, is a master of treading the very fine line of saying what everyone is thinking but no one dares to say, while not resorting to the use of profanities or vulgar shock tactic routines.
In his latest offering When I Was Your Age, Avati compares the ‘then versus now’ generational differences of today’s children against his own childhood, and the complexities of modern-day parenting compared to the strict upbringing of yesteryear.
Threaded throughout all of this, Avati tackles the minefield of comedians and cancel culture, the woke brigade and why people are over political correctness. His observations are not only deadly accurate, but extremely relatable to all ages.
This is a show for all the family. Bring your kids so they know what it was like when you were their age. Bring your parents to highlight how much they have changed since they were your age. Bring your friends to laugh and reminisce about growing up as teenagers when you were that age!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PURCHASING TICKETS FOR CHILDREN
All parents and any children the age of 18 months and over will require a ticket. Children under the age of 18 months will not require a ticket, but will be required to sit in the lap of a parent or guardian for the full duration of the show. Only one child under 18 months per adult ticket will be permitted.
Please note that children under 15 years can only attend a performance at the Clocktower Centre with an accompanying adult.
Parents will not be able to drop off children and pick them up after, if they are to be unaccompanied during the performance.

Unaccompanied children under 15 years may be refused entry, and tickets cancelled. Cancelled tickets may incur additional fees and the purchaser may not receive a full refund.

Please note all bookings will incur a $4 fee per transaction. This transaction fee is payable whether booking tickets online, over the phone or in-person.
